Doctors
Our practice healthcare team is dedicated to providing you and your family with personalised, professional, quality healthcare across a wide range of medical and support.
Making Appointments with Your Doctor
Appointments with your doctor can be made by:
Calling the practice during our opening hours or booking an online appointment here.
Your doctor’s standard appointment time is 10 minutes. This allows your doctor sufficient time to address your concerns and provide you with thorough care. Please note that not all issues may be able to be fully addressed during one appointment, and a review appointment may be required.
Please make a separate appointment for each person requiring a consultation, even if you are attending the practice at the same time. Your doctor will endeavour to prioritise urgent consultations where appropriate.
Important information regarding appointments:
- If you have a fever or respiratory symptoms, please call reception for advice before attending the practice.
- Telehealth appointments are available with your doctor. Your doctor offers bulk billed consultations to patients who have attended the clinic for a face-to-face appointment within the previous 12 months.
- If you require a longer consultation, please contact reception so that we can arrange an appropriate appointment time with your doctor.
- A standard appointment with your doctor is required if you need repeat prescriptions for your long-term medications.
Patient Information
Our Practice’s Policy for Managing Patient Health Information
For your doctor to provide quality healthcare, a relationship of trust and confidentiality is required between you, your doctor and our practice. A copy of our Privacy Policy is available from reception upon request.
Patient Health Information
Patient health information is important and confidential information. Patient records are stored electronically within our clinic’s secure computer system and are backed up regularly, including an off-site backup option.
Our Practice’s Communication Policy
If you have a query for your doctor, you may contact the practice by telephone and leave a message with reception. Your message will be relayed to your doctor, who will either contact you or advise if it would be more appropriate to make an appointment to discuss your enquiry.
Patients may also communicate with the practice via email. Your enquiry will be responded to as appropriate.
Our practice may send SMS reminders on your doctor’s behalf regarding upcoming appointments, recalls for abnormal results or recommended follow-up appointments.
Results
Results of investigations requested by your doctor will generally require a follow-up appointment. All abnormal results will require an appointment with your doctor for further discussion.
Please discuss with your doctor during your consultation how and when you will receive your results.
Home Visits
Home visits may be requested by regular patients of the practice. Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be declined at the doctor’s discretion.
Same-day home visits may not always be possible and will be arranged according to the GP’s availability and schedule.
Fees for home visits are at the doctor’s discretion and may depend on the time of the visit, distance travelled, complexity and duration of the visit.
Feedback and Complaints
Feedback / Complaints
Feedback is always welcome. We strive to provide a caring and friendly environment, and it is important to us that we continually improve the way we support our patients.
If you have feedback or a complaint, please contact the clinic to speak with our Practice Manager or complete our Patient Feedback & Complaint Form.
If you are unhappy about a health service provided to you or a family member by your doctor, please contact the practice and ask to speak with our Practice Manager as a matter of priority.
After-Hours Care
After-Hours Care
Every household should establish a strong relationship with a family doctor. However, there may be situations where you require medical attention when your General Practitioner (GP) is unavailable.
In these circumstances, you can access 13SICK, Australia’s largest bulk-billed after-hours doctor service.
Please include a link to the 13SICK website: https://13sick.com.au/
We would also like the 13SICK logo displayed alongside this information.
LGBTQIA+ Inclusivity
We would also like to include an appropriate LGBTQIA+ inclusion symbol/flag on our website to clearly communicate that our practice welcomes and supports LGBTQIA+ patients.
Please let us know if you have a suitable image/icon that can be added, or if you require us to provide one.
